Membership Application Procedure

 

【Regular and special members】
Those wishing to apply for regular membership or special membership (individuals or organizations) need recommendations from two regular members (of which one must be a director or trustee).
Please complete the application form with the signatures of proposing members and mail it to JSTE Secretariat.
Entry will be approved by the Chair after screening at a Board Meeting, held twice annually, generally in June and November.
Successful applicants will be notified in writing by the Secretariat.

【Graduate school members】
Graduate school membership is limited to doctoral students in graduate schools. After completing their Ph.D. courses, they will become regular members unless a notice for retirement is submitted.
Those wishing to join as graduate school members need recommendations by two regular members (of which one must be a director or trustee) including academic supervisors or people of similar status.
Please complete the application form with the signatures of proposing members and mail it to JSTE Secretariat.
Entry will be approved by the Chair after screening at a Board Meeting, held twice annually, generally in June and November.
Successful applicants will be notified in writing by the Secretariat.



Membership privileges


Members can apply to present papers at meetings and conferences held by the JSTE, as well as being qualified to participate. Members can also participate in other meetings.
The JSTE journal Koutsugaku Kenkyu and other materials will be distributed to members.




Annual membership fees

 

Regular membership: \7,000
Graduate school membership: \4,000
Special membership: \10,000/unit; 2 units or more as a rule
